We are a new children’s consignment boutique located in the Highland capital of Inverness, that offers quality new and gently used children’s clothing, accessories, toys and baby equipment in sizes from birth to 10 years.

The business has three main aims:

  • to provide an affordable way to purchase high end quality children’s clothing and accessories
  • to offer a way to earn income by selling quality items that you no longer need
  • to promote and support recycling

We know that you want the best for your family and Piggy in the Middle enables you to buy and sell new and gently used items, offering you the opportunity to turn your recycled children’s items into cash.

Piggy in the Middle came about when we realised how many amazing children’s items were taking up space in our cupboards. We didn’t have time to sell on-line, but felt they were too good to just give away.  The economy seems to be dictating that we are all tightening our belts and looking for ways to add a little more to our family income.

After much discussion and research with like-minded parents and friends, we realised that there was a real need for a central point for buying and selling quality children’s clothes and accessories that provided an enjoyable shopping experience. As this would remove all the hassle and uncertainty of online selling and all the time and work involved in car boot sales, it soon became clear that there was a real need for this service – but fundamentally, the process needed to be EASY.

We all feel that there aren’t enough hours in the day, so we wanted to provide a simple way for families to both make money easily and afford quality items without breaking the bank.  What better way to find your favourite quality brands at excellent prices, and who doesn’t want to clear out cupboards of all those outgrown items?  Piggy in the Middle is the solution to your problem!

We are currently accepting autumn and winter items. We typically take a maximum of 25-30 items per drop off – please take a moment to look around the web-site for more details of what we do and how to become a consigner.
